our service projects

Green Book Travel is dedicated to making the world a better place. We operate under the belief that travel is a exchange, not a commodity. Social and environmental welfare is very important to us. When you travel with us, you are giving back as much - if not more than what you take away-often in ways you would never imagine. Here's a few of our social initiatives. Check out how you can get involved.

Period Project

Thousands of women in Ghana don't have access to pads because they can't afford them. Absence of appropriate supplies not only affects reproductive health but also acquisition to education. Due to poverty - women use unclean rags, cloths, newspapers, leaves or cotton wool causing infection, infertility and other complications.

Nothing brings us more satisfaction than giving back!! Through Green Book Travel's Social Initiative to keep thousands of young Ghanaian women in School and at their work places- we were able to supply most of the Krobo village girls with enough sanitary supplies for a few months as well as provide hygiene training.

As an organization we are trying to do our best to service the community and we are grateful about the impact the relief efforts have made.

Check out a few images of the Dipo puberty rites ceremony. Dipo is celebrated to usher young virgin girls who receive their menses into womanhood.

If you are interested in joining this initiative here's how you can help!

#FLOW

One of the greatest causes of poverty in Africa is also the most overlooked- WATER. Without water you can't grow food, you can't build housing, you can't stay healthy, you can't stay in school and you can't work. Water is the foundation of all development.

Without water-you can't survive.

In partnership with the KJM foundation we have a opportunity to provide access to clean water by building a borehole for an entire Village in the Greater Accra Region this December.

With your help, we can deliver this life-saving gift to where it’s needed most.
